The IT system engineer reports to the director of IT Infrastructure and works with the director of Infrastructure to build, maintain, and enhance a modern, affordable, flexible, and secure IT environment at headquarters and regional offices across the country and around the world.

IT infrastructure engineer duties include network, server, IT security, video conferencing, storage, desktop, data center/hosting, as well as telephony operations and projects.

This is a high-visibility role that provides a full presence at all levels of the organization. It also offers a high level of personal decision-making and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Basic function:

-Assistance with planning, implementation of hardware, software, network, and telephone functions.

-Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and phone problems.

-support the development of procedures for the operation, installation, and upgrade of communication systems, hardware, networks, security, storage, and software.

-Help document current network hardware and environments, including servers, personal computers, IT systems and network systems, video conferencing, and telephony.

-Perform desktop maintenance and maintenance activities as needed.
